Hair Transplantation

Hair Transplant surgery is the ultimate solution for men and women suffering from androgenetic alopecia who desire their own permanent growing hair. However, the bottom line is that results vary. Patients fair best when they possess an ideal amount of permanent hair to relocate. Our first ambition must be set realistic goals and reasonable expectations. After all, hair loss continues throughout a person’s lifetime. After 20 years in the industry we believe it is more about hair loss management than simply hair replacement.

The Hair Clinic utilizes follicular unit transplantation (F.U.T.), which is the gold standard in our industry. We also provide Follicular Unit Extraction (F.U.E.) if the patient is deemed a suitable candidate. Hair follicles or “grafts” are harvested from the patient’s donor area at the back of the scalp and expertly transplanted in bald or thinning areas. Our doctors carefully evaluate the amount and calibre of a patient’s donor hair in conjunction with their age and overall health status when establishing a patient’s probable success and outcome.

In our experience, experience is everything! Hair transplantation may take between 4 and 8 hours to perform. Throughout that duration, there are a multitude of intricate steps which must be perfectly executed. There is an exact science to donor hair harvesting, graft survival, and site creation. There is artistic strategy when building a perfectly natural result such as hair density, hairline design and angle of hair growth. Each Hair Clinic Transplant is customized.

The Hair Clinic also employs a dense packing technique to ensure grafts are placed together as close as possible for greater density. This reduces the number of sessions previously required to achieve optimal fullness.

The Hair Clinic also provides the Trichophytic Donor Closure with follicular unit transplantation. Essentially, it is a vast improvement in the traditional incision line closure because it offers superior scar camouflage. This is fabulous news for patients desiring shorter hair styles.

Non-Medical
Hair Restoration

Non-Medical Grafting

So, we collectively determine that you are not a suitable candidate for complete hair transplantation for a variety of reasons. No worries, non-medical grafting may be exactly what you need for the hair your desire. Non-medical grafting is instant hair restoration which is perfectly integrated with your existing hair and virtually undetectable. Relax in one of our private hair replacement suites and our creative stylists will give you practically any hair style want. Show us a picture of your former follicular glory, or a hot new style from a fashion magazine, and we can make it happen.

Hybrid Hair Restoration

Often times we meet patients with inadequate donor hair to provide transplants for all desired areas of the scalp. However, there may be adequate donor hair to rebuild the frontal hair line and the first 3rd of the scalp with permanent hair. A non-medical graft may be used to fill the crown area perfectly. The result is absolutely outstanding!

Cosmeceuticals

The Hair Clinic provides Volluma, a cosmeceutical hair thickening spray as the instant styling solution for thinning hair and hair loss in women and thinning hair in men. It is the perfect interim solution when one is considering their hair replacement options with The Hair Clinic.

Scalp Micropigmentation

The Hair Clinic is proud to offer Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP). It is a tattoo technique where tattoo pigments are placed on the scalp to emulate the appearance of a cleanly shaved head of hair. Administered correctly, one cannot distinguish between a shaved head and a tattooed head. SMP is an art form as much as a technical process. Tattoos typically last a lifetime, however may fade over time requiring touch-ups. SMP is also an ideal solution for scar camouflage and providing the appearance of increased density to thinning hair.

Human Hair Prosthetics

Women, men, and children suffer from a range of different forms of hair loss, or alopecias – most particularly Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis, Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia, Alopecia Universalis, Androgenetic Alopecia (male and female genetic hair loss), Traction Alopecia, and alopecia caused by chemotherapy. The category of hair loss is the first thing to establish before embarking on an ideal prosthetic solution. Features such as cap weight, design and composition, size, attachment, customizability, durability and longevity must first be aligned with an alopecia class. Once determined, we can then focus on hair composition, density, length, colour, and desired style and expression. Every customized solution must reflect the desires and specifications of each individual. At the Hair Clinic, it is our definitive goal to provide you with the most natural hair possible – the hair you once had, or the hair you have been dreaming about!
